IAD support & funding

About our various funding schemes, and how we may be able to help you plan and design your events.

The Institute for Academic Development runs three funding schemes that aim to provide targeted support for a variety of staff and student needs, from one-off events, to the development of networks and communities, to large project awards. You may apply for funding on multiple occassions.

The IAD Action Fund (including Festival of Creative Learning Pop-Ups) is not accepting applications for funding at the moment.

IAD Action Fund

The IAD offers funding for University of Edinburgh staff and students to develop and support academic networks and communities and/or test ideas for creative learning activities via large scale Festival of Creative Learning Pop-up events and projects.

Principal's Teaching Award Scheme

The Principal’s Teaching Award Scheme (PTAS) provides funding to support learning and teaching enhancement through pedagogical innovation and research.

Student Partnership Agreement Small Project funding

Funding of up to £1000 for projects that involve meaningful collaboration between University of Edinburgh staff and students.
