Writing guides for research active academics

Feb 18 news. New writing guides for researchers: writing productively, and an introduction to metrics.

Our new Guide to Writing Productively covers the four pillars of writing productively - secure and protect writing time; make writing routine; practise; and become part of a community of writers. It also offers ideas for apps and books that can help you.

Our Brief Introduction to Metrics gives an overview of metrics and suggests further reading and videos.

A Academic Writing in the Sciences guide gives an overview of the structure of a scientific paper, thesis or dissertation, a framework for organising your writing, and further resources.

We also have available a Writing Retreat Facilitators Guide. This will give you an idea of the structure of different retreats, the things to think about before and during the retreat and your role as facilitator.
