What is ILLiad?

ILLiad is the electronic system you use to request an item through Interlibrary Loan. The name ILLiad can be thought of as an acronym for 'InterLibrary Loan internet accessible database'.

All University of Edinburgh staff and students may register to use ILLiad. External users who are registered borrowers with the Library may also apply for ILL services through ILLiad

ILLiad can be used to request material which is not held by the Library (Interlibrary Loans) and can also be used to obtain scans of articles held at other Library sites within the University of Edinburgh. More information can be found on the main Interlibrary Loans information page.
