Doors Open Day

Information about Doors Open Day events at the Main Library.

The Main Library building, designed by Sir Basil Spence, was completed in 1967 and A-listed in 2005. This is an opportunity to experience not only the building’s distinct architectural features, but also a new public artwork by Nathan Coley installed to celebrate the building’s 50th Anniversary. On Saturday, the Centre for Research Collections will provide rare behind the scenes tours of the facilities that store and care for the University’s unique cultural and heritage collections (booking essential, please see links below).
