In submitting this form, you are agreeing to the following statements:

Any of the collections above for which I have not yet produced a list will be emailed to the Archives Manager for an addendum to be produced for this form, containing the list of items requested for consultation and any decision about access and use required.

I agree to make use of any personal data contained therein in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation.  My research will not be used to support measures or decisions with respect to particular individuals and will not cause or be likely to cause substantial damage or substantial distress to any person who is the subject of these data while he or she is alive or likely to be alive (assuming a life span of 75).  I shall not make information found through my research available in a form that identifies any data subject without the consent in writing of the data subject or the data controller.

If there is any special category data that I find during my research that it is my legal responsibility to be compliant in the processing of this. For definitions of special categories please see the special categories webpage.

I will agree not to photograph it, scan it, index it, copy it, include the names or other identifying information on a database or otherwise digitise it. If there is material that I wish to use in this way then a request will be made to the Archives Manager for assessment under the provisions of the regulation. This includes for inclusion in the final PhD submission and potential subsequent publications.

I have followed the University’s Postgraduate Research Ethical procedures and followed the requirements in the guidance provided at this webpage and undertaken a research data protection impact assessment.

I understand that I am entering into an agreement that I shall be compliant with the above conditions and I am responsible for compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation in relation to any processing by me of personal data obtained from the above collection, and I acknowledge having received a copy of this document.
