Introduction and Self-Guided Resources

Prescribe Culture is the University Museums heritage-based, non-clinical health, social care and wellbeing support initiative.

Founded on social and cultural prescribing approaches and designed and developed specifically to help maintain or improve mental wellbeing by supporting those who may be experiencing difficulties with sense of loneliness and isolation, anxiety, depressive symptoms and lack of connection.

We offer a hybrid service with some online, some postal and some in-person programmes and activities, all are free, most are self-referral and one is by referral only, via one of our health and social care partners. Please contact us via this form if you have any questions about our programmes and how to get involved, either as a member or as a referral or cultural partner.

Self-Guided Resources

Our Take 30 Brochure was developed in 2019 for the Prescribe Culture pilot project. Available to everyone and free to download. Remember to check the various venue websites for opening times.
