This week we're focusing on landscape painting, a type of art work that dates all the way back to antiquity. We've chosen a few of the many landscape paintings that our institutions have in their collections to show you the range of different types of landscape paintings and the techniques used. Recording Scotland Collection

The 'Recording Scotland' Collection from the University of St Andrews is a really interesting example of an art collection that was created in the 1940s specifically to record Scottish landscapes which people feared may be lost due to the war. Watch this video, from Stephanie Williams who works at the Wardlaw Museum to find out more:
