The 'Jabberwock' Archive (Coll-1611) contains letters from the following Scottish authors to Ian F. Holroyd, founding editor of 'The Jabberwock'.

Most of these letters concern submissions to The Jabberwock.  However, Hugh MacDiarmid's letter of 17 October 1951 and Compton Mackenzie's letter of 19 October 1951 concern Sydney Goodsir Smith's campaign to be elected Rector of Edinburgh University, which was managed by Ian F. Holroyd. Douglas Young's letter of 27 March 1963 concerns the Scottish Renaissance Society’s presentation of the Thomas Urquhart Award to Sydney Goodsir Smith.

The Jabberwock Archive also contains correspondence from other writers including Sean O'Casey, Edith Sitwell, Alan Riddell, Martin Gray, Jonathan Mills, and Bruce Etherington. The letter from Edith Sitwell, dated 23 October 1951, also concerns Sydney Goodsir Smith's candidature for the Rectorship of Edinburgh University.
