Please note that before the foundation of the Faculty of Science in 1893, science and engineering subjects were taught within either the Faculty of Arts (Astronomy, Engineering, Physics) or the Faculty of Medicine (Biological Sciences, Chemistry, GeoSciences). Mathematics continued to be taught within the Faculty of Arts until 1966.
