The Online Course Production Service (OCPS) offers support for development of professional, high quality digital education, from project planning and learning design to media production and marketing.
About the service
The Online Course Production Team is comprised of every specialism you need to make your course a success along with your subject matter expertise. Our collaborative process brings together Instructional Designers, Media Producers, Project managers and marketing experts to support our course teams to create and teach the best course possible.
We also work closely with the Open Education Resource (OER) Service to source, create and publish all learning materials under open licence to encourage reuse in other teaching contexts. Browse the complete OER story in Open for Good: OER at the University of Edinburgh.
What we do
We draw on extensive learning design experience and research-led practice to collaborate with academic colleagues. The result? Innovative, inclusive, and sustainable online education that suits learners’ needs.
The Service Level Description outlines what will be provided by Information Services to members of the institution who wish to use the service, along with the responsibilities of users of the service.
Our role in the life of your course doesn’t end when the course launches - the team is here to support you with course re-runs and content refreshes. With our experience in the sector, we can advise on all aspects of the course building process, from the best platform for your intended audience to use of interactive tools such as Thinglink. We can help you maximise the reach of your course and create learning pathways to share more of your knowledge with learners.
