Downloading source file for offline backup
When a media file is uploaded to Media Hopper Create it is processed in to different ‘flavours’ for playback across a variety of devices and internet connection speeds. The source media file is the version you upload and not used for playback, and will be deleted after a certain time has passed in line with the service’s Data Retention Policy - https://edin.ac/3fuyoS5. If you do not have an offline backup of your video file, or are required to keep one, you can download the source file before it is deleted.

The source media file is not used for playback, however it is used with the online editing functionality. If you want to use the online editing tools after the source file has been deleted, you can follow these steps to replace it with a processed ‘flavour’.
