Step 4: Check the eduroam WiFi network status

If you find that you can connect when at the University of Edinburgh but not at other institutions, the likely cause is that either your username did not have @ed.ac.uk at the end of it, or there was a saved eduroam profile from the University on your device.

Force the device to forget the WiFi network, as in step 2 below, and, if you are on a Mac, check in System Preferences > Profiles for an eduroam profile you can remove. Then retry the connection, entering your username with @ed.ac.uk at the end.
