Q:  I get the following message when downloading onto a Mac: Endnote-20.2-1.pkg” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information.

A:  Please attent the following after attempting to install the package:

1. Navigate to Apple menu > System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General

2. Click the "Open Anyway" button for the installer package and confirm with 'Open' as necessary.”
