Changes to Working Practices

Summary of working practices that will be impacted or changed as the new network is adopted

This project will impact all areas of the University, but careful planning and mitigation will ensure minimal disruption to staff, students and services during the implementation period. There are a number of areas that will be most impacted by the network replacement:

• Move to private IP addressing
• Reducing number of stretched VLANs
• Ehanced cyber security offering
• EdLAN DB to be replaced with enhanced IPAM solution
• Additional network monitoring tools
