Availability and entitlement

All individuals and functions that have an assigned University Username i.e. staff, students, registered visitors and functional accounts, have a record within the Central Authorisation Service, which can be accessed by IT services within the University.

Who can access the information?

Any IT service within the University, that is connected to the University network, may access the information using LDAP over a secure encrypted connection.

This service is designed to be resilient and available 24x7.

What if the information is incorrect?

If you believe information about you is incorrect, and you are being denied access to a service that you think you should be entitled to, then contact the IS Helpline.
