Introduction to the Central Authorisation Service
The Central Authorisation Service is a network accessible directory of information relating to individuals and services within the university that can be used to decide whether someone should get access to an IT service.
Availability and entitlement
All individuals and functions that have an assigned University Username i.e. staff, students, registered visitors and functional accounts, have a record within the Central Authorisation Service, which can be accessed by IT services within the University.
