SharePoint Online: Navigating and Using an Existing SharePoint Site

Course description: This two-hour introductory course is designed for members of staff who are looking to learn more about searching for, viewing and navigating existing SharePoint sites using SharePoint Online

This course aims to teach you:

  • What SharePoint is and how it's used across the University
  • How to log in to SharePoint Online with your Office 365 account
  • How to navigate the SharePoint Home area, search for existing sites and follow your favourites
  • Why and how sites may vary in appearance and functionality
  • How to navigate a SharePoint site including moving through pages and searching for files within the site
  • The basics of accessing and managing files and folders within a site’s Document Library
  • The various ways to share files, folders and site links with other University Office 365 account holders 

Please note: This course will not teach you how to create a new SharePoint site or modify an existing site, nor will it cover administrative privileges such as user access and permissions
