Whitelisting

Whitelisting allows us to accept mail from any site that would otherwise be blocked from sending mail to us due to it being listed on a public blacklist.

Whitelisting is possible, where we will accept mail from a site despite its being blacklisted. We will only do that if:

• they can make a case that their need to get mail through is urgent
• they can assure us that they are addressing the original problem
• they can assure us that allowing mail from their site through will not cause our service to suffer

Please note that blacklisted sites are always still able to mail postmaster@ed.ac.uk and abuse@ed.ac.uk
