Robin presented a University of Edinburgh service view as part of a peer reviewed panel session on 'Developing Services to Support Research Data Management and Sharing' with three other service providers. The panel was chaired by Dr. Liz Lyon, Director, UKOLN and Associate Director of the Digital Curation Centre.

According to the panel description, "Effective research data management (RDM) is gaining increasing importance as funders, publishers, and research institutions voice concerns about the loss of data associated with funded, published research and its lack of availability and accessibility beyond the life of the research project. The pressure on academics to manage, document, share and preserve their data is not balanced by incentives, support or mechanisms for them to do so."
