Edinburgh Data Audit Framework Implementation
May 2008 - December 2008, funded by JISC Digital Repositories Programme.
This JISC-funded pilot project produced six case studies from research units across the University in identifying research data assets and assessing their management, using the Data Audit Framework methodology developed by the Digital Curation Centre. Information Services collaborated in the project by seconding Cuna Ekmekcioglu, Research Computing, as Project Manager.
Three important outcomes were identified by the project steering committee which have been followed up by the Data Library:
- recommendations for University policy in research data management;
- training for staff and postgraduates;
- web page guidance on research data management.
