Victoria Dishon has been appointed as the new IT Liaison Officer for the College of Science & Engineering.
We're pleased to announce that Information Services, in liaison with the College, have appointed Victoria Dishon as the new IT Liaison Officer for the College of Science & Engineering.
Victoria is well known in the University, not only through her current role as Academic Liaison Officer in Engineering but also her broader work supporting the use of technology in education in the College.
The main functions of this new role will be to acquire a deep understanding of (a) the strategic IT needs of the College and its Schools and (b) the University-level IT strategies and their delivery plans and University-level services and systems in order to communicate and disseminate information about these to the College, Schools and Information Services, to assist in achieving maximum value from corporate provision.
To carry out the role, Victoria will join some internal College committees, and will represent CSE on some University-level committees and project boards. The role will formally report to the Director of User Services Division, Bryan MacGregor, but will also have a dual reporting line to the College Registrar, Dr Bruce Nelson. The post will be located part-time in the College Office and part-time in Argyle House. We will confirm Victoria's start date nearer the time, but we are hoping that this will be sometime in June.
