Wiki Loves Monuments
Over 1,300 open licensed images of Scottish scheduled monuments and listed buildings have been added to Wikimedia Commons.
As part of the annual Wiki Loves Monuments photography competition in September, staff at the University uploaded over 1,300 open licensed images of Scottish scheduled monuments and listed buildings to Wikimedia Commons.
What is Wiki Loves Monuments?
Wiki Loves Monuments is the world’s biggest photographic competition. The competition aims to gather high quality, open licensed images of historic sites from all over the world. 260,607 images were submitted to the 2018 competition, including over 27,000 from Scotland.
