SensusAccess assistive technology

We are currently piloting SensusAccess software, enabling you to convert a range of electronic documents into more accessible formats.

SensusAccess is a self-service solution that enables you to convert electronic documents into a range of alternate formats including audio books (MP3 and DAISY), e-books (EPUB, EPUB3 and Mobi) and digital Braille. Less accessible documents such as image only PDF files, PowerPoint Presentations and JPEG pictures can also be converted into more accessible formats. Once converted, the accessible document will be sent to your University email inbox.

The software is quick and easy to use and completely free. It is available to all staff and students at the University.

If you, or someone you know, uses this software we would be very interested to hear your feedback. You can contact our Disability Information Officer, Viki Galt, at viki.galt@ed.ac.uk or on 0131 650 6645.
