We run several visit days for potential undergraduate students.
Should you wish to come to the university and speak to staff and students before you apply, you can do so by attending one of our pre-application visit days.
The University holds three pre-application Open Days a year, held in June and September. For more information about the University of Edinburgh's Open Days please see:
Post Offer Visiting Days
Once you have applied and received an offer you can attend one of our post offer visit days. Invites to the visit day will be sent in spring 2018 and attendees will be able to register for either Wednesday 28th March 2018 or Wednesday 4th April 2018.
If you can not visit us in person, you can view some of our facilities in our virtual tours:
Virtual tour of the Informatics Forum - The Informatics Forum is used for postgraduate research only.
Virtual tour of Appleton Tower - Appleton Tower is currently undergoing renovations and will not be in use till session 2017/18 at the earliest.
Student-led guided tours
The University offers student-led guided tours most Friday afternoons, which are for students and their families who are unable to attend an Open Day.
If you would just like to look around the University, you are welcome to pick up a self-guided tour leaflet from Student Recruitment & Admissions.
Self-guided accommodation tours, which take you round Pollock Halls, the University's main undergraduate Halls of Residence, are also available for visitors.
Come visit the School, and get a feel of what it is like to study at the School of Informatics.
Note: please give us a minimum of 2 weeks notice for your request or we might not be able to organise a visit for you.
