There are a number of opportunities for prospective undergraduate students to visit the University of Edinburgh throughout the year.
Take our virtual tour and explore what it's like to study and live in Edinburgh:
As an undergraduate student you will primarily be based in Appleton Tower - all your classes will be held on the University's Central Campus (George Square).
The Informatics Forum is used for postgraduate research only.
Our student-led campus tours take place regularly throughout our academic semesters:
Follow our self-guided audio walking tours for a flavour of the University, the city and student life:
Should you wish to speak to staff and students before you apply, you can do so by attending one of our pre-application visit days.

Visits to Informatics Buildings
If you are unable to come to one of the planned University visit days, we may be able to show you around the Informatics teaching facilities. Please complete the below webform with at least 3 days notice and we will respond to you.
Please note: staff are currently working in a hybrid mode so we cannot accommodate unplanned visits and would appreciate if you could give as much notice as possible. The School will be closed for a holiday break between 23rd December 2022 and 4th January 2023. We won't be able to respond to visit request throughout the break.
Offer Holder Events
Once you have applied and received an offer you can attend one of our virtual or in person offer holder events. Email invites to the Offer Holder events are sent from Spring.
Our regular 'Introduction to the University of Edinburgh' sessions provide an overview of what it's like to study with us, and events specific to a particular subject area, or aspect of student life, run at various points throughout the year:
