There are a number of opportunities for prospective postgraduate students to visit the University of Edinburgh throughout the year.

Open Days

We typically host online Postgraduate Open Days in March and November for those interested in our on-campus programmes. There are also regular mini-open days throughout the year.

As an MSc student you will primarily be based in Appleton Tower - all your classes will be held on the University's Central Campus (George Square).

The Informatics Forum is used for postgraduate research only.

Please note: staff are currently working in a hybrid mode so we cannot accommodate unplanned visits and would appreciate if you could give as much notice as possible.

Offer Holder Events

Once you have applied and received an offer you can attend one of our virtual Offer Holder events.  Email invites to the Offer Holder events are sent from May onwards.

Our regular 'Introduction to the University of Edinburgh' sessions provide an overview of what it's like to study with us, and events specific to a particular subject area, or aspect of student life, run at various points throughout the year:
