Lecturer/Reader in Computing Systems Architecture

The University of Edinburgh invites applications for a Lecturer/Reader (equivalent to Assistant/Associate Professor) to join the Institute for Computing Systems Architecture, within the School of Informatics. Appointment to the position of Reader will be considered for exceptional candidates.
This is a full time and open-ended post which is available from 4 January 2017. Salary: Lecturer UE08 £38,896 - £46,414 per annum / Senior Lecturer or Reader Grade UE09 £49,230 - £55,389 per annum.
We encourage applications from strong researchers in all areas of computer systems (hardware and software), including networking, compilers, operating systems and computer architecture. We are particularly interested in those whose research agenda addresses the need to flexibly balance performance and energy efficiency across layers of the systems stack, and across scales from individual devices to the Internet-of-Things and Cloud Computing. The successful candidate will have a PhD, an established research agenda and the enthusiasm and ability to undertake original research, to lead a research group, and to engage with undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and academic supervision. We are seeking current and future leaders in the field.
