RSE Christmas Lecture event
Dr Maurice Fallon will be part of a panel discussing Robots and Rockets, Saturday 26 November.

The event will form part of the Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE) Christmas Lecture activities to be held at Dynamic Earth, Edinburgh.
Dr Fallon will be speaking alongside Professor Monica Grady, Professor of Planetary and Space Science, Open University and Professor Colin McInnes, Professor of Engineering Science, University of Glasgow.
Although the panel sessions are sold out, other activities are available on a drop in basis and the event is free.
Action packed programme
The RSE says:
“In what promises to be an action-packed day of space exploration for aspiring astronauts, science-fiction fans and the space curious, families will get the chance to explore Earth using augmented reality, build and launch a soyuz FG rocket, take an astronaut on a spacewalk using a robotic arm and much more at the various hands-on activities and meet-and-greet sessions available throughout the day.”
Highlights of the event will be recorded and speakers will feature in upcoming episodes of the highly popular video series ‘Quiz-a-Whiz’, which will be published on the RSE website.
