School of Informatics

'3DT and Friends' Presentation Day

Our three EPSRC Centres for Doctoral Training (CDTs) will co-host a presentation day, Thursday 26 May 2016.

'3DT and Friends' will showcase the excellent ongoing research of the School’s postgraduate research (PGR) students, and encourage communication and collaboration across the CDTs and Institutes.

All postgraduate research students and research and teaching staff are very welcome to attend.

Students from the CDTs in Data Science, Pervasive Parallellism and Robotics & Autonomous Systems will present their work on diverse research topics, as well as students from Institute for Computing Systems Architecture (ICSA), Laboratory for Foundations of Computer Science (LFCS) and Institute for Adaptive & Neural Computation(IANC). Topics will include:

  • A comparison of different large scale language models for source code
  • Non-volatile Memory: Optimizing for Performance
  • Deep Music
  • Soft Robotics Grippers
  • ## Sampling under constraints in deep density models
  • Relating Channel- and Actor-based Models of Concurrent Programming

The two poster sessions will feature an even wider range of research from across the School.

A number of the CDTs’ industry partners will attend, and there will be plenty of time for networking between students, staff and industry partners.

PGR students who would like to present a poster should email Brittany Bovenzi by 12 May.
