The School of Informatics Signs Collaboration Agreement

The School of Informatics along with the University of Oxford and the University of Southampton has signed a collaboration agreement with The Connected Digital Economy Catapult. The collaboration will to work on a number of areas- spanning the Internet of Things, web and data science, trust, privacy and security, and secondments and internships.

The wave of innovation associated with data and computation is sweeping across all aspects of world economy. This is larger than any single institution in industry or in academia and although competing when we must, we should collaborate when we can.” He added: “The engagement between the Digital Catapult and the School of Informatics was stimulated by a common goal: to shorten the distance between thought in research and action in the economy.”
