Explorathon - Researchers' Night Scotland

Informatics researchers will be part of an EU-wide extravaganza of discovery, debate and entertainment on Friday 26th September.

Sethu Vijayakumar will be speaking about embodied artificial intelliegence at a special Café Scientifique at the Churchill Theatre, and doctoral student Tania Marques will share a potted version of her research over tea and cake at a "PhD in an Hour" marathon. Meanwhile, Areti Manataki, Michael Rovatsos, Nico Bova, Jane Hillston and Matthias Hennig will be keeping younger audiences entertained with fun "Meet the Experts" activities at the National Museum of Scotland.

EU Researchers' Night in Scotland is led by the University of Aberdeen, with partners at the universities of Edinburgh, Strathclyde and Glasgow. The programme is funded by the European Commission and will run until the end of 2015.
