Recent Funding Awards

The School has received funding from Google for a number of awards.

The School of Informatics has received Google Faculty Research Awards for four research projects:

  • Expanding Freebase with Extracted Entities- Wenfei Fan
  • Learning physical part models from YouTube videos- Vittorio Ferrari
  • Near-Memory Processing for Analytics- Boris Grot
  • Automatic Pattern Rewriting for Performance Portability on Heterogeneous Systems- Christophe Dubach

In addition, the School has secured two of the 15 European Doctoral Fellowships awarded in Europe to Jakub Konecny and Shayan Najd.
