DEMOfest 2010

The third annual showcase of the Scottish Informatics and Computer Science Alliance (SICSA) research was successfully held in the Informatics Forum this week.

At DEMOfest, SICSA showcases some of the most exciting and innovative research produced in Scotland, everything from projects that help tackle security problems through to research which can help improve care in the home; robots that play football, to video fingerprinting and virtual laboratories; all of which could have significant commercial application.

DEMOfest offers some of the leading lights in the Scottish business community not only the chance to view this cutting- edge research, but the opportunity of working and collaborating with researchers to bring the best ideas to the market.

This year, DEMOfest featured over 50 exhibits and demonstrations from the participating SICSA universities.
