Graduate Wins 2014 ERCIM Cor Baayen Award

School of Informatics graduate wins the 2014 ERCIM Cor Baayen Award.

Juan Reutter, who completed his Phd at the School of Informatics and was supervised by Leonid Libkin, recently won the 2014 ERCIM Cor Baayen Award, for his thesis "Graph Patterns: Structure, Query Answering and Applications in Schema Mappings and Formal Language Theory."

This award is given by the European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics, and goes to the best dissertation in computer science and applied math in the current year.

Juan who has gone on to take an Assistant Professor position at the Catholic University of Chile, has also won the BCS Distinguished Dissertation competition.
