Doors Open Day 2021

2021 marks the 32nd year of Doors Open Days, a festival that sees organisations and volunteers offer free access to sites and events across Scotland.

Doors Open Day is a chance to explore some of Edinburgh’s architecturally and culturally significant buildings. From heritage landmarks to the city’s newest architecture, Doors Open Day offers free access to properties that are either not usually open to the public or would normally charge an entry fee. The event also offers the public an opportunity to find out more about the capital's public buildings.

The School of Informatics have been participating in Doors Open Day for several years, opening our spaces to visitors. This year due to restrictions caused by the pandemic, we would like to offer a virtual tour of our buildings.
