The School of Informatics is seeking to appoint academic staff across a variety of research areas within ANC, CISA, ICSA and ILCC.

Research excellence

In the 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF 2014) the School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh produced more world-leading and internationally excellent research (4* and 3*) than any other university in the UK in the REF 2014 assessment for computer science and informatics.

The School is the largest Informatics academic community in the UK and one of the largest in Europe. It comprises around 120 academic staff, over 125 postdoctoral researchers and more than 350 postgraduate research students. It is based in the modern, purpose-built, Informatics Forum, in Edinburgh city centre and adjacent to the new build Bayes Centre for Data Science and Technology.
