Cancer Centre PhD student wins fluorescence imaging prize
Frederic Li Mow Chee was awarded the prize for best fluorescence imaging at the Imaging PhD Expo: October 2017
Congratulations to Frederic Li Mow Chee, a PhD student (with Dr Adam Byron and Prof Margaret Frame) in the Cancer Biology lab at the Cancer Research UK Edinburgh Centre, who won the prize for the best fluorescence imaging poster at the Imaging PhD Expo – a networking event for PhD students from the University of Edinburgh or Heriot Watt University, with an interest in imaging. The event was organised on the 25th of October by Edinburgh Imaging and Frederic presented his work on novel functions for cell adhesion proteins. The images were taken at the IGMM Imaging Facility in collaboration with Dr Ann Wheeler.
Edinburgh Imaging is the collective hub of clinicians, scientists and veterinary surgeons, who all have an interest in medical imaging in Edinburgh. It aims to break down barriers within science, engineering and clinical environments - to allow researchers to work collaboratively with the joint purpose to advance health through excellence in imaging science.
