Career Transition

Career transition support is available to all employees who are at risk of redundancy and have at least 2 years’ service.

This service is available to all employees who have received a letter informing them that they are at risk of redundancy.

Services provided by INTOO

INTOO UK & Ireland provides a full suite of career transition and change management support services. They provide a tailored outplacement programme and career coaching services, their approach is to support their clients through periods of transition to enable them to have a positive focus on their future career.

The INTOO service covers all aspects of career change, from helping you to consider your career options and transferable skills, develop your CV, practice interview techniques, to negotiating a job offer.  The coaching is delivered through tailored 1:1 in-person and online sessions to ensure you get the best support for your own circumstances. In addition, they offer a market-leading career-development and outplacement online programme, INTOO4you.

Support Available

Your dedicated career coach will contact you directly when they receive the referral and scope out how best to utilise the 6 hours of their time you have available.

If, for any reason, you cannot attend a pre-arranged meeting with your coach, you must provide them with at least 48 hours’ notice of your need to cancel or postpone.  If you cancel on more than one occasion, you may forfeit your right to access the service.

All submitted information will be sent to the HR Business Support team, which is part of the University’s Human Resources (HR) Team.  The team will pass your details to INTOO who will contact you directly to arrange a suitable time for an initial meeting.  INTOO will explain the service and understand a little more about the issues faced by you. 

You will also receive an email confirming the details that have been submitted for your review and records.
