Key leadership and management competencies for professional services staff grades 6 -10.

The leadership and management (Competency) framework has been designed to enhance leadership and management across the University's professional services staff (grades 6 - 10). It is a structured process to help staff develop their skills, and comprises 9 key competencies.

It describes the attitudes and behaviours which result in successful performance in professional services staff roles (grades 6-10) across the University.

Definitions

Each of the nine competencies has a short definition.

Descriptions of behaviours

Detailed descriptions of the behaviours identified for success in each of the competencies are provided for each grade from 6-10, and also grouped for grades 8-10 and grades 6-8.

Levels of performance

The competencies describe the attitudes and behaviours which result in successful performance in the leadership and managerial aspects of people's roles.
