Denise Nesbitt

Denise Nesbitt

Deputy HR Director, Learning and Organisation Development

Denise is a senior HR development professional, with extensive experience in both private and public sectors.  MBA qualified and a Fellow of the CIPD, Denise’s expertise is in Leadership and Organisation Development.  She is an experienced coach and facilitator, working with senior leaders in a range of organisations including SMEs and Not for Profit. 

Kirsty Robertson

Senior HR Partner, Organisation Development

Kirsty is an experienced OD professional who is energised by working with leaders to support culture change through OD and L&D interventions.  Kirsty brings extensive experience of the public sector and understands the complexities of working in a large, diverse, devolved organisation.  Kirsty is a trained coach, MBTI and Emotional Intelligence Practitioner, and is passionate about all aspects of leadership, change and people development

Bea has held Learning and Development roles in both the public and private sector as well as having experience as an International Sales Manager.  Bea has worked at the University of Edinburgh for 7 years now during which she has had both business facing and centrally focussed Learning and Development roles.

Bea has a passion for enabling people to maximise their performance and enjoyment in their roles; be this through coaching, leadership development or organisation wide projects.

Her current projects include establishing and developing the University’s Leaders Forum, creating and implementing mentoring strategy and reviewing how we approach performance management and development within annual review.

Joanna Fairweather

Joanna is a Learning and Development professional and has worked in private, public and third sector organisations. As a qualified career guidance coach and facilitator she has experience of supporting individuals achieve their full potential. Joanna has worked in organisational development roles and completed her CIPD Award in Organisational Development in 2015. Her current projects include working with the technician community, workforce planning and leading on central induction
Lesley Dicker

Lesley is an experienced facilitator and coach who enjoys working with individuals and teams to achieve their full potential. With a creative approach and an enthusiasm for tangible outputs Lesley is able to help generate novel ideas and turn them into high quality solutions. Lesley has a background in generalist HR and extensive experience working in both public and private sectors. This, alongside a Post Graduate Diploma in HR, gives her good commercial awareness at a strategic level together with knowledge of how to implement practical solutions that have a positive impact on delivering results.

HR Partner, Organisation Development

Cara has a background in generalist HR having previously worked supporting senior managers and staff in broadcast media and publishing.  She is particularly interested in the development of people managers and enabling staff to access engaging development resources as and when they need it.

Ruth Miller

Assistant HR Partner, Organisation Development

Ruth is an experienced Learning and Development professional, having worked in various L&D roles in Europe and Australia, primarily within technology organisations, since 2000.  Ruth completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources in 2013, focussing on the impact of behavioural change within organisations.  An experienced MBTI practitioner and facilitator of leadership development and change programmes, Ruth also coordinates the AdvanceHE Aurora programme annually 

Frances Grebenc

Frances is an experienced facilitator and project manager, working in Learning and Organisational Development roles in both the private and public sectors, in Canada and Scotland.  In addition to her Masters in Human Resources, Frances is a qualified coach, mentor, action learning facilitator and MBTI practitioner.  Over the last few years, Frances has led on the Mentoring Connections Programme within the University.  She enjoys working with staff and teams to achieve their personal and career development needs.  

Frances is currently on secondment to the Service Excellence Programme - Core Systems.
