How we use your information
To apply for vacancies, you will be asked to supply some personal information. The information you give us will be held in a secure database and will not be shared with other organisations, except where another organisation is party to the recruitment process (for example, the NHS).
The information you provide as part of the recruitment process will be held by the University of Edinburgh, and used for administering your application and, separately, for equality and diversity monitoring and reporting. This information will be retained for five years.
If you are appointed to a position, this information will then form the basis of your employee record. The University uses this for various purposes associated with your employment, which you will be fully informed of prior to your appointment.
