Our relocation support is designed to provide some financial assistance and access to relocation support services. Relocation Services Provider
The University of Edinburgh has engaged the services of HCR Ltd as its relocation partner with the intention to ensure you have a straightforward experience relocating to Edinburgh.
HCR’s Services offered include:
- Arrangement of Household Goods Removal and Storage
- Temporary, Short Term and Long Term Accommodation
- School/Education Search
- Area Orientation
- Settling in Programme
- Banking Support
As part of your relocation package, you will be provided with a Relocation Allowance.
The University’s Relocation policy is to make a contribution towards your relocation costs, please note this therefore means the contribution may not cover the full cost of your relocation.
HCR will manage your entire relocation budget. All claims you wish to make against your budget will be made to HCR and who will authorise them against the University’s Relocation Policy and repay you as swiftly as possible.
Once HCR have been instructed by the University, you will be contacted by a dedicated HCR Relocation Consultant to carry out a Start Conversation, a detailed fact-finding assessment and policy briefing which will take place with you as a relocating appointee.
Its purpose is to establish your personal circumstances, to discuss the services HCR can offer that would be relevant for you, to explain the level of support which is available to you, how this will all be delivered, and to answer any initial questions you may have.
