Demonstrating your Right to Work

Prior to any employment commencing with the University you will be asked to provide documents to demonstrate your right to work in the UK. These pages give information about the documents you need to show to the University to confirm you have the right to work. Without valid documents, the University is not able to employ you.

Please note that a new immigration system was introduced on 1 January 2021. This applies to non-EEA citizens and EEA/Swiss citizens who were not resident in the UK before 31 December 2020.  From 1 July 2021, EEA/Swiss nationals must present either a status through the EU Settlement Scheme, Frontier Worker Permit or a visa through the immigration system.

Right to work checks are not required when current employees are transferring or taking additional roles within the University.
