Edinburgh has one of the largest groups of historians at any University in Britain and Ireland and offers an extremely wide choice of courses covering a range of themes, period and geographical areas. A rich mix of different approaches to the study of History is represented among our staff, and their research interests cover a broad chronological sweep from the early medieval period to contemporary history.
