Dr Romankiewicz on BBC Radio
Dr Tanja Romankiewicz appeared on BBC Radio Shetland to discuss brochs. (Published 30 Jan, 2017)
Archaeologist and Leverhulme Early Career Fellow Dr Tanja Romankiewicz took part in a programme on BBC Radio Shetland on 1 February talking about brochs.
The programme, 'A History of Shetland' explores the 2,000 years old stone towers, and Dr Romankiewicz spoke about her interpretation of these enigmatic prehistoric structures, based on her PhD results (Romankiewicz 2011, 'The complex roundhouses of the Scottish Iron Age, BAR British Series 550; Romankiewicz 2016 DOI: 10.1080/00665983.2016.1110771)), and advocating their regional and local differences. Other experts on the panel included Professor Ian Armit (University of Bradford) and , Professor Niall Sharples (Cardiff University), amongst others.
