Representatives from the School of History, Classics and Archaeology student body met in the McMillan Room to celebrate the large and important contribution our undergraduate students make to our School community.

Participants included the EUSA UG Representative; ArchSoc committee; Classics Society committee; History Society committee; Retrospect committee; Peer Support volunteers; Student Ambassadors; Scholarship Winners 2017/2018; Robertson International Scholarship Winners 2017/2018; Prize Winners 2016/2017; Student Research Room volunteers; History for Schools volunteers; Edinburgh Archaeological Outreach Project volunteers, and Literacy through Latin volunteers.

Also present were Head of School Professor Ewen Cameron and Undergraduate Director Dr Esther Mijers. Professor Cameron thanked everyone for their contribution over the last 12 months and emphasised how much those in the room had contributed to the HCA community over the course of the year.

‘We are seeking to extend the student contribution to the life of the School and to amplify student voices as we continue to discuss and debate the best way forward for the School.’

The School is delighted to announce that the History Society’s award for Best Academic Society of the Year 2017 is now on display in a case in the open area on floor 1M.
