Barnson Bequest for undergraduate vacation courses abroad

The College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences intends to make 25 awards of £500 each from the Barnson Bequest to help Scottish students attend vacation courses abroad.

These funds are intended for, “Students of Scottish nationality...to encourage and assist them to broaden their education by attending vacation or other courses, preferably of a cultural rather than a technological nature at any foreign University.”

Applications are invited from undergraduate students across CAHSS who will continue to be students after summer 2017 and who are classified as British Nationals domiciled in Scotland for fee purposes. Applications should be submitted using the appropriate application form (contact your Student Support Team or CAHSSacademicadmin@ed.ac.uk for more information and to request an application form).

The deadline for applications is 17.00, Friday 31 March 2017 but you will have to request a reference from one academic member of staff (e.g. your Personal Tutor) in due time before this date.
