Edinburgh historian featured in the New Statesman

University of Edinburgh historian, Professor Tom Devine, is featured in a special Scotland edition of the New Statesman.

Scotland's First Minister, Alex Salmond, has guest edited a special edition of the New Statesman, titled 'Scotland: In or Out. A Special Issue'.

Professor Tom Devine, School of History, Classics and Archaeology, is among those invited to contribute essays from non-partisan perspectives. All were chosen by the First Minister himself. Other essays have been written by Baroness Helena Kennedy, Andrew Marr, Will Self and Kirsty Wark.

This special edition, published on Friday, 28 February, 2014, coincides with the New Statesman lecture on Scottish independence in London on 4 March.
