Dr Anna Groundwater appears on BBC Radio 4's In Our Time to discuss Mary, Queen of Scots.
Dr Anna Groundwater, Teaching Fellow in Historical Skills and Methods, has appeared on BBC Radio 4's In Our Time programme, presented by Melvyn Bragg, discussing the controversial reign of Mary Queen of Scots, and its aftermath. Also appearing on the programme were Professor John Guy (University of Cambridge) and David Forsyth, Senior Curator of the Medieval and Early Modern Scottish Collections at the National Museum of Scotland.
Dr Groundwater's current research explores networks of power, patronage and communication in early modern Scotland and the Union of the Crowns. She is also working on the republication of Jenny Wormald's 'Mary, Queen of Scots: a Study in Failure' (Birlinn, forthcoming 2017), to which she's contributing a new foreword and afterword. Her new popular history book, 'Scotland Connected: A timeline for Scottish History in the wider world', is to be published this June (Luath Press).
