Doctoral Training seminars

A series of informal lunchtime workshops which provide a space for you to reflect on your practice as a researcher in the humanities and to hone the transferable skills that will enable you to develop your career during and beyond the PhD, in both academic and other professional contexts.

Time and location

This is a series of informal lunchtime seminars which provide a space for you to reflect on your practice as a researcher in the humanities and to hone the transferable skills that will enable you to develop your career during and beyond the PhD, in both academic and other professional contexts. It is designed to complement the formal training programme provided by subject areas.

These training seminars combine briefings from experts and panel discussions with opportunities for you to reflect critically through constructive discussion with peers.

We are always looking for ideas for additional seminar, so do get in touch if you have suggestions.

Seminars take place 13.00-14.00 in Room 2.36, William Robertson Wing, Doorway 4, Old Medical School, University of Edinburgh, Teviot Place. Any question should be addressed to Dr Stephen McDowall

Everyone is warmly welcome.
