‘Killed the Boar, Shaved his Head’; the Violent Death of Richard III’

A body subsequently identified as that of King Richard III was found in a Leicester car park in 2012. This talk will be a blow-by-blow account of where and how Richard was slain, and his body treated after he died... with all the gory bits!

Illustrated lecture by Mr. Bob Woosnam-Savage Curator of Edged Weapons, Royal Armouries, Leeds

This talk by an expert involved in the team which excavated Richard III's remains will reconstruct where and how Richard was slain, and how his body was treated after he died.

Participants will get the opportunity to question Mr. Woosnam-Savage after his lecture and then to meet socially and talk to him informally after his lecture.
